Mystletain had seen Moonflight crash land onto the ground, she looked a little battered but she was stronger than most dragons, her willpower was beyond that of any other dragon he had ever seen; with the exception of a few. "Lilalna, do you think we should…" "Watch out! To the left!" Mystletain just managed to barrel roll out of harm's way, just as the ender dragon let loose a razing purple flame. "We won't be able to get to her like this!" "Moonflight tells me, Mystletain, that she has informed Mystic to help them out, she also asks of us to take out the ender dragon first." "Alright then. Get ready to jump!" Without any further warning, Mystletain flew for the one and only weak spot on the ender dragon, its blazing purple eyes. Flying close to the great black dragon was not a problem, it was getting into the correct position to let his partner land that was the dilemma, too far could mean she would jump to her possible death, too close and he would not be able to escape the jaws of the ender dragon, and one dragon badly injured was bad enough. "Come on Mystletain! We have to hurry! He's getting closer to the base!" Unknowingly, the ender dragon had been heading for the base, driven by Israphel's order to kidnap the Lightbringer's still injured partner. "Almost got it! Just a little more…… JUMP!" His order couldn't be any clearer as Lilalna jumped onto the ender dragon's neck and Mystletain rapidly rolled away just missing the massive maw of the end beast.

She knew she had to finish off the dragon quickly, armed with her enchanted ironwood bow and the soul gem, too much delay will eventually tire out Mystletain, who is already straining to keep in the air, but if she misses, the dragon will be bound to notice her. Her archangel dragon had formulated a plan for her, wait for the eyes to come within range of her arrows, and fire at its pupils, thoroughly blinding the dragon, and for added effect, imbue the arrow with her demonic powers, and it should be sufficient enough to make the dragon retreat. Mystletain had the job of luring the dragon's head into the perfect position for Lilalna to let fly an arrow into the dragon's eye, he did not trust his abilities of evading the dragon after the shot, but he had complete faith in his partner's archery skills, he had seen her shoot before, and she had never missed a single target, ever. But the dragon was being stubborn; he wouldn't turn his head to face Lilalna (who was on his neck, readying an arrow), only if Mystletain flew too close to its head, then it will turn, but to get it to turn 180 degrees behind, it will require something big to happen behind the dragon's line of vision to attract its attention. Then, there was an explosion, at exactly where Moonflight was, and the dragon turned behind, to be hit in the eye by a demonic arrow as it tore through its head, flying out from its skull as the dragon roared in pain, shaking Lilalna off his back for Mystletain to catch on his back as the dragon and partner flew away from the crashing dragon.

"Lomadia, Moonflight calls for our help, should we?" The owl lover was still trying to hang on to her Eagle owl dragon's back ever since the last creeper explosion caught her off guard. "What is wrong with her and Rythian?" "It appears that Moonflight lost a wing to the ender dragon and crash landed onto the plains, but Rythian is unharmed." "What does she want us to do?" "Take Rythian and go back to base, then come back and pick her up." "Are you sure you are strong enough to carry Moonflight?" "You underestimate my strength, Lomadia." The Eagle owl dragon kept up her steady wingbeats as she approached the dracolich and her mage partner, she could sense there was something wrong, something VERY wrong; there wasn't a creeper in sight. She can remember clearly that Moonflight warned her of a group of creepers, but there were none, not even a single explosion to indicate their presence. Many would have thought it lucky to have no creepers around, but in a war against Israphel, having no creepers around meant something was wrong. And she could see why. One moment the dracolich turned her skull to face Rythian, and the next was a blinding flash of white as Mystic recoiled from the blast, nearly throwing Lomadia off her back in the process. The white light soon cleared, to reveal a massive crater; with Moonflight and Rythian in the centre. Lomadia could barely hold back her screams as she opened her eyes to the grizzly scene before her, a surge of panic threatened to lead her into the crater, until she saw Rythian crawl out from between his dracolich's ribs. Mystic swiftly rushed down into the crater, leaving Lomadia at the edge of the hole as she went off to pick up the stunned mage.

"Moonflight… you can't… its impossible…" Slowly, the mage bent down to touch his dracolich's skull, trying to sense for a flicker of life, to prove to himself that she wasn't gone yet. Her head felt cold to the touch, but he could still feel her breathing, it was weak and slowly fading into a steady flutter as Moonflight opened her gentle green eyes, "Are…you alright… Rythian…?" Emotion just seemed to overtake the mage as he bent down and hugged Moonflight's skull, using the last of his fading willpower to stop the tears from flowing; he couldn't cry in front of his dragon, at least, not now. "Silly mage, dracoliches are a lot harder to kill than thought." "Moonflight! What in the world happened here?" Mystic had arrived, her feathers in a bit of a mess as she stood next to the injured dracolich, "It was a charged creeper, it may have taken quite a bit out of me, but it hasn't harmed Rythian." The mage could only keep his eyes on his dracolich as he tried to regain his bearings. "Mystletain had asked for me to come and get you out of here, ask Rythian to get on my back." "Alright, but are you sure…" "*sighs* why does everyone like to doubt my strength." Rythian had obeyed his dracolich's instruction as he mounted Mystic, shuffling a bit to find somewhere comfortable; with a beat of her silent owl wings, Mystic locked her talons around Moonflight's spine before taking off, effortlessly, snagging Lomadia in the process as they headed back to base, hoping Destiny is around to cure the barely alive dracolich.

There was a rush of activity at the dragon base, pure water dragons breathing healing breaths at injured dragons, nebula dragons heading off to spy on Israphel, Dryad tangled between a few trees with a long list of jobs to be done hanging off one claw, Martyn trying to cut his dragon free of her restraints, and there was Destiny in the clearing practicing her forbidden spells. "Destiny! Come back to Moonflight's tree house, we have a situation." "What is it about, Mystic?" "Come over and see for yourself." Abandoning her spell practice, the Soul dragon rushed to where Mystic was, outside of Moonflight's house. "What is the matter?" "Moonflight shielded Rythian from a charged creeper explosion; she is inside waiting for you." Mystic could definitely notice the change in the Soul dragon's expression as she strode in, a determined air around her, but she had also seen how the she-dragon recoiled at the word 'explosion' as well. Inside the house lay a half asleep Rythian, sitting next to a strangely alert Moonflight; it did not take long for Destiny to assess the damage done, the massive fissures in the bone, the missing ribs, and of course, the missing right wing. "You are lucky she is a dracolich, Rythian, otherwise we would have the first fatality of this war. But you will have to leave her alone for the moment, the way we heal dracoliches is a lot different from any normal type of healing, and if you refuse to leave this house for just a few moments, I'm afraid I will not be able to do so." Almost as if he were a zombie, the mage walked out, with a slightly worried expression in his purple eyes. It was over in almost an instant, Mystic could hear a few long-ish incantations, and a sudden purple smoke trailed from the Soul dragon's maw, swirling around Moonflight before a bright flash; and Moonflight bounded out of the house, tackling her still stunned mage partner onto the ground, her right wing restored and her bones as smooth as porcelain.

Phew!!! Rythian was lucky.

Dryad sounds like they'll wander off somewhere and get lost, with Martyn following just to keep the way clear.
