Before they die
They make the sweetest sound
Just for a moment
Then they are gone

When I die
He'll make the saddest sound
And the world just carries on
In the midst of his sorrow

But fate beckons for
the fall of the last
Through the sounds of tears
And the sand beast sealed

Let me be forgotten
Let me fade from the world
To not let him suffer
The sadness I went through

But the mark will remain
A reminder of the horrible truth
That only one stood out
And that he shouldn't have
~A wandering spirit

Israphel (The pale faced one) stared into to the scientist's unmoving emerald eyes, trying to find a weak spot, the chink in his armor, the bullseye, where he could take over. He so dearly wanted to win this war, to win this fight, to finally have Minecraftia at his whims, to have every single testificate bow down to him. But the two stood in the way, they needed to be exterminated, pushed out of the way, gotten rid of, then he will have the planet's inhabitants at his mercy. Somewhere, a few thousands or millions of miles away, villagers were just doing what they are meant to do, wander around the village, caring for their fields, cowering at the sight of zombies. Completely and utterly oblivious to the chaos that will be about to break loose at the lone clearing.

"Israphel, why do seek, so badly, the control of Minecraftia? You are already a powerful black mage, and with a dark sand dragon at your side, what more would you want?" The creeper-faced man could only roll back his head and laugh, laughing at the audacity of the Soul dragon's question, laughing at her nerve to ask of such a thing. "Fools! Who wouldn't want complete control of this planet? So many to bow down at my feet, so many for me to command around, to help the spread of the sands, to spread the taint!" "You're mad..." The dark sand dragon spat acid onto the ground, turning the grass into an awful puke green colour, the colour of decay. "Of course I'm mad, otherwise, I wouldn't be standing here, to fight you and your pathetic human partner, who is surprisingly not dead." "Shut up Israphel." "Ah, someone's a little tense, isn't he." "I came to finish you off, I had to do it anyway, since your ugly creeper face kept showing up everywhere, kinda makes me wonder where your ugly mug will show up next." Snarling, Israphel placed a hand on his obsidian blade's hilt, lifting the blade ever so slightly, "I apologise Lalna, but I'm afraid your curiosity will only get you sent to the Nether." And with that, Israphel pulled his purple blade from it's scabbard, rushing at the scientist as the two dragons took for the skies, their bodies aglow with built up rage as they began to attack.
The climax had come.

Destiny just managed to avoid another one of the Sand dragon's daggers as it flew past her eye, giving her a glimpse of the cold steel edge as it flew past. Roaring, she readied up another one of her devastating spells, ready to delve into her favourite game of bullet curtains, " Forbidden barrage, Emerald megalith." Emerald bullets and shards erupted from her wings, pelting the sand dragon with a mass of emeralds, as the lumbering dragon tried to dodge the closely packed bullets, to only end in a shard to his other non-damaged eye (where'd the other one go?) "Two can play at that game. Cursed spell, black death." The world spun as the surroundings went dark, darker than midnight, darker than a moonless night as blobs of shadow rushed at the unsuspecting dragon, battering her scales. "So he can play with the curtains as well, fair enough. Fiery curtain, Lava cromlech." It felt as if a mini volcano erupted, because it was not long before the air and ground shook with the pent up rage of a volcano, lava filled rock crashing onto the Dark sand dragon, breaking his spell. The two fought amongst the lava filled stones as the caster skillfully dodged the uncoordinated magma rocks, whilst the sand dragon could only roar in frustration in failing to figure out the bullet pattern. In a fit of anger, the dark sand dragon crashed through the bullet curtain, and dug his claws into the Soul dragon, just as she sank her fangs into his neck, but he knew something, ever since that time the boundary dragon twisted the boundaries of life and death, he will never die, never decay and never age, all because of a baseless threat.

The two other scientist and half creeper were locked in a sword/magic duel, slashing with their worn swords and blasting with spells. Both were of equal skill level, but of different magic type, the scientist could easily manipulate the elements, the half creeper could manipulate the dead and the dark. Receiving a burn to his left, Israphel struck out with his sword, missing the scientist by an inch, "Missed me you pale face jerk." before he received a splash of boiling water to his face. "Time to start firing things up a little." Scattering sand across the field, Israphel called forth a sand creature, molding it into a wolf, before asking the sand puppet to strike at the scientist.

He could remember staring at the growing sand thingy, moments before he was struck down by a sand wolf, it's jaws snapping away at his neck as he tried to fend it off with his sword, only for sand to fall upon his blade. "It's useless, it is not going to keel over at the slash of your blunted sword you moron, hurry and finish him my puppet, then we move on to the dragon." "Heh, I guess it does have an advantage; being a scientist and all." readying a fire charge, Lalna fired at the sand wolf, turning the sand animal into solid glass as it toppled onto the ground, shattering into oblivion. "Sand may not be enough to stop you, scientist, but I'm very sure this will." Pointing at the bloodstained floor (it is Israphel's blood by the way) The thick red liquid began to swirl, before it came alive, turning into a dragon of sorts, totally defying the physics of matter as it grew to the exact size of an adult dragon. The blood beast launched itself at the slightly stunned scientist, scoring a mark on his face with a claw, before a sword slashed through it's limb, only for it to reconnect almost instantly to the severed foot. "But how.." "It's doesn't take a genius to figure such things out Lalna, blood is the liquid that gives us life, that regenerates us, that empowers us, don't you see? That a being made of complete blood can never die." He could only stare, wide eyed as the blood dragon attacked again, this time striking for the heart of him, just missing it's mark as the scientist was carried away by a dragon flying by.

"After them!" Israphel had just managed to mount the blood dragon before taking off after the fleeing Soul dragon and rider, "Master, do you think it's time...?" "Yes my minion, this time we kill them both, spectacularly, all the beings of darkness merged as one." As silent words were spoken, The battered Dark sand dragon flew towards the blood dragon and Israphel, before all three glowed an unearthly red glow, and emerging as one rather oversized Nether serpent, invincible and driven mad by bloodthirsty revenge.

"You know, I could have just killed that dragon there and then..." "Listen, we do not have much time, I want you to be assured that what I am about to do is the only way." "What do you mean by...." "Just turn your head and you'll see." Craning his neck, Lalna could not keep his mouth shut as he saw the creature, a monstrous mix of the three antagonists they were facing just a few moments ago. "WHAT THE HELL IS THAT!?" "That, Lalna, is the Nether serpent, mixed with Israphel, it is now the ancient beast of millions of years past, it is the oldest of the Old ones, the ruler of the Underworld: The phantasm snake." They finally landed atop a tree, the scientist's eyes still bulging at the serpent. "Lalna, listen to me, what we are about to do will require courage of the greatest beings alive, and one of them is you and me."
"So?" "Imbue the sword with my soul." "WHAT?! That's absurd! I won't kill you just to get rid of this freak!" Pointing his finger at the serpent, he shot Destiny the look that pretty much said 'I'm not doing such a thing.' "Stop acting like a child Lalna, we do not have time, I will keep enough of my soul in myself to fly you to it's head, you will then plunge your sword into it's brain and it will be the end of it." "But what abou..." "Even without a soul, I can still live, just reassure yourself on that." "But..." "No more time! We have to go!" Touching the dragon's head with his sword, Destiny transferred almost all of her soul to the blade, causing the blade to glow an unearthly cyan. Her vision was going fuzzy, but she can't die yet, not until she is sure the serpent dies with her. "Come on Lalna, let's finish this."

He was suddenly not sure about his dragon's decision, what is it like without a soul? But no time to dawdle on such things, they were closing in on the red beast's head, it's single bloody eye meeting the two as they flew for it's head, "You can't stop us nowww..." "Bloody serpent, you will soon realise how wrong you are to even live upon this earth. With a final wingbeat, the scientist jumped onto the serpent's head, the blade sinking all the way to the hilt, blood spurting out of the serpent's brain and onto the scientist, causing him to burn as the vile red liquid splashed all over the shocked scientist, before the red beast exploded, sending the Soul dragon, her feelings and the scientist, crashing.

For Lalna, it was as if his final moments were played out in slow motion, his feet dangling uselessly in the air, his arms flailing about, serpent blood dripping from his lab coat. He knew he had nearly died many times, but this time, he knew perfectly well it was the end, there was no more pain, no more emotion, no more warmth, like being plunged into the endless black hole, nothingness... He didn't even notice Destiny as she gently grabbed him from the air, and put him down onto the dry and brown grass. "Where... where's the... moon?" "You'll see it soon enough, it is about time for me to complete my final duty to you." sudden realisation hit the scientist like a vicious slap across his burned face, "No.......you can't.." "I can, and I will, I'm...I'm sorry Lalna, but there is no point of a soulless dragon in this world." He could feel it, the transfer of energy, like the first time he laid his hand on Destiny's egg, but it was healing him, giving him life, his mind was clear and he was feeling more normal. "Destiny! You can't do this! Stop it!" "I'm....sorry.....but..but it's done..." He could see again, he could see the dead Phantasm serpent, it's innards splattered everywhere, he could see the slowly brightening sky, signalling the end of the night, and the arrival of morning. "Interesting... that we will soon part ways exactly one week after we met." He turned to see Destiny, her body slowly fading in a barrage of light bubbles. "Why...why did you do it?" he was holding back the tears that threatened to leak from his somehow darkened eyes, "It was meant to happen, your destiny said so.." "But you said.." "Yes, I did say that you can alter your destiny... but for your...I mean, our case... it will all happen... it was something I said to comfort you, I knew you wouldn't be able to handle the truth..." "Now what? If you're gone, what about......about me?" "That is the saddest thing Lalna, I have bonded deeply with you the past few days, and I can say, you have been invaluable, the most invaluable ... but the moment I leave the mortal realm, I would like to ask of one more request..." "Anything." "Forget me." "WHAT?!" "Yes, forget me.... live as if I was never there, it was my sin to lie to you Lalna, I know, it will be hard, but please.... you must forget me...." "No...I will no..." "Please... Lalna, I only ask of you to remove my exsitance from your mind... can you?" he could feel the corners of his eyes grow warm, "Yes.... I will..." "Thank you Lalna, I do not have much time left. Just promise me this... Live like you were the happiest person in the world, cease to hold and bear grudges, live everyday as if your last, and do not mourn for me... you may keep the jewel, but only if it does not remind you of me." "Ye...yes." "You may spread the word of Israphel's end, and the triumph of the dragons. And remember... I will always be around... even when we're apart..." The first tear had managed to force it's way through, "I only have time to sing something I had long wanted to, hear me out and I'll be gone."

Though the scent lingers
The flowers scattered one day
It couldn't even allow me
to wander

The flowers
in full bloom
Taught me one day that
Living for the sake of it's a sin

We can't be parted
And I can't part from you
The feelings I hold
Only make my heart excited

Though the scent lingers
The flowers scattered one day
It couldn't even allow me
to wander

I have no time to wander
But I take a step back

So frail that I depend on it
And so weak
That I can't be depended on

The nightmare tenderly toys with me
And the end arrives.

"Good bye... Lalna."
And the dragon disappeared as the sun broke the horizon. And the first drop of rain landed on the weeping scientist.
The end?
